What’s brewing in February?
Awareness. Alignment. Steady Momentum.
February is a month to check in, not overhaul — keeping systems aligned, documentation steady, and teams supported as the year moves forward.
This month’s awareness themes reflect the core of Head Start and Community Action work, and GoEngage is here to help turn that work into clear, confident documentation.

Feature Spotlight: 3 New Safety & Active Supervision Enhancements
1. New: Child Location Tracker POP Dashboard
The new Child Location Tracker dashboard helps teams monitor:
Where children are throughout the day
When children are received or moved
Potential supervision gaps
Statuses like Late, Supervision Gap, and Picked Up make issues easy to spot and address.
➤ See guide: How to use the Child Location Tracker
Note: Only GoEngage users will be able to access the guide.
2. New: Child Location Log Report
You can now run a detailed Child Location Log report showing:
Expected location
Actual location
Movement times
Receipt status (Received, Late, Gap, Picked Up)
This is especially helpful for:
Supervision reviews
Internal audits
Incident follow-up documentation
3. New: Live Child Location in the Parent Portal
Parents can now see their child’s live location directly within the Parent Portal Child Profile.
Why families appreciate this
Increased transparency
Added peace of mind
Clearer communication between programs and families
📌 Note: Your agency must be using the Child Location Tracker
➤ See guide: Parent Portal
Note: Only GoEngage users will be able to access the guide.

Feature Spotlight: 2 new 2026 Federal Updates Now Live
1. 2026 HHS Poverty Guidelines
The 2026 HHS Poverty Guidelines are now live in GoEngage — and there’s nothing you need to do.
GoEngage automatically applies the correct poverty guidelines based on the date of each income form, helping ensure eligibility determinations remain accurate and compliant year over year.
Why this matters
Reduces manual updates and errors
Supports consistent ERSEA and CAP eligibility decisions
Keeps historical income records tied to the correct guidelines

2. 2026 FA1/FA2 Monitoring Protocols

Program Outcomes Portal (POP) prep
How this helps your team
Aligns internal reviews with current federal expectations

Tip: Plan Drills — Then Use the Data to Improve
HSPPS Alignment: 45 CFR §1302.47 — Safety Practices
Head Start programs are required to maintain safe environments and use data to continuously improve safety practices.
Create a calendar for fire and emergency drills so leadership knows when drills are scheduled, then review drill results to identify patterns, supervision gaps, and areas for improvement.
GoEngage supports this requirement by allowing programs to record fire and emergency drills by center or by classroom, making it easier to track completion, analyze outcomes, and demonstrate ongoing safety monitoring during reviews.
➤ See guide: Record a fire or emergency evacuation drill
Note: Only GoEngage users will be able to access the guide.
